February 20, 2017: What To Do With Those Fading Valentine's Day Flowers
Six days later and those flowers are not looking as fresh as they did on Valentine's Day. It seems like such a waste to throw them away in a few days. Funny enough, this is the same rationale my husband uses to justify not buying fresh-cut flowers for me more often. He says they die too quickly and it's just a waste of money. So he prefers to buy plants instead.
I usually just hang my flowers upside down to dry and then put them back in a vase and keep them for a few weeks or months more. There are other options to preserve your flowers if you are not as lazy as I am.
